Taiwanese consumers can now purchase K-style goods through the Taiwan FamilyMart app.
Global e-commerce platform Cafe24 revealed that it will be promoting popular Korean DTC brands on Taiwan FamilyMart’s mobile app with 10 million users. Taiwan FamilyMart is a key convenience store brand that currently has 3,500 locations in Taiwan.
App users who tap on posts featuring K-style goods will be instantly connected to the product checkout page. Such an increase in shopping convenience is expected to positively influence Korean DTCs’ sales in Taiwan.
Korean brands will also be introduced through FamilyMart’s Facebook Page, FamiPort, via live broadcast.
Jaesuk Lee, CEO of Cafe24, said, “Hallyu’s rising popularity in Taiwan is furthering consumer interests in K-style.” He added, “Cafe24 will actively support Korean DTCs selling in Taiwan so that they can succeed.”
Meanwhile, Cafe24 and Taiwan FamilyMart signed an MOU in April to provide Taiwanese shoppers with a package pick-up service from convenience store locations for orders made on Cafe24 DTCs.
