Press release

Easy integration between online stores & Lazada opens doors to sell in 5 countries
Lazada experts share action plans optimized for Korean merchants
Opportunities arise for merchants planning to expand to SEA

Cafe24 is joining hands with one of Southeast Asia’s greatest online marketplaces, Lazada, to provide e-commerce merchants with effective global expansion strategies.

Global e-commerce platform Cafe24 will be holding its “Strategies for Driving Sales in SEA with Lazada” webinar on March 3rd, 2 p.m.

Lazada is one of SEA’s biggest online marketplaces with 65 million users. Its Lazada Global Shipping logistics service offers quick and precise delivery throughout the SEA region made up of large archipelagos.

Cafe24 and Lazada have long been partners for supporting Korean merchants taking their business overseas. Now, merchants can integrate their Direct-to-Consumer online stores with Lazada using Cafe24’s Multimarket Management service. Integrating to Lazada’s marketplace allows brands to expand their product visibility in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Zhao Jian, Global Business Director of Lazada’s CB Business, and more experts will be speaking at the webinar. They plan to emphasize the two companies’ cooperative model that assists merchants selling to SEA markets.

Sessions will include hands-on strategies for accelerating local sales. Merchants can learn about marketing Korean products, export customs processes, utilizing logistics services, and choosing Lazada’s sales models according to their business scale and core product.

Another highlight to the webinar will be Lazada’s analysis of Korean products’ sales growth patterns and potential in SEA. The growing popularity of all things Korean coupled with the region’s increasing internet penetration are creating more opportunities for Korean merchants to win over local customers. The webinar will present invaluable insight for merchants wanting to do business in these regions.

The webinar is free, and anyone can apply on the Cafe24 homepage to attend. It is open for those wanting to start an online business and individuals or companies already doing business via their online stores.

“Southeast Asia is a region with great e-commerce potential and a lot of Hallyu fans,” said Lee Jaesuk, CEO of Cafe24. “We will continue to develop our global partner networks so that our merchants can take their business to global markets and succeed.”
